Fix Remnant From The Ashes Crashing Issue – Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival action shooter by Perfect World Entertainment. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monstrous creatures. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you’ll set out alone or alongside up to two other players to face down hordes of deadly enemies and epic bosses, and try to carve a foothold, rebuild, and then retake what was lost.
Though Remnant From the Ashes is decently optimized, for the most part, we cannot deny the fact that it is a demanding title. Apart from performance issues like lag and low fps, players are experiencing random crashes and freezes as well. That is why we decided to come up with a basic performance guide for this game that will show you all the basic methods that you can try before moving to something more advanced.
Fix Remnant From The Ashes Crashing Issue
An update was pushed a few hours back that broke the game for a few gamers and they have been raging around the forums. We found a lot of posts on Reddit and steam discussions talking about people having troubles related to crashing in-game. We are posting a few tweaks that you can perform to fix your game, for the time being, an update should be pushed out shortly to fix this.
Update your graphics drivers
Though Nvidia and AMD have not released graphics drivers optimized for Remnant From the Ashes, I would still recommend that you keep your drivers updated. Let’s be honest, this is one of the most overlooked factors when people try to eliminate performance issues from their games. So here are the links to the latest drivers for AMD and Nvidia graphics cards:
The crashing issue is caused mostly due to system tweaking that is not compatible with the program. It is recommended that you disable any overclocking related tweaks that you’ve done on your computer. Refer to Zotac Firestorm and MSI Afterburner and reset your settings to stock.
Update your Windows OS
If you didn’t know, your OS plays a decent role in your system performance when playing demanding applications like games. Your present windows version is probably degrading the performance of your system and you probably don’t even know about it. So check whether you have Windows updates available or not. Here is how you can update your Windows:
- Go to Settings
- Go to Update & Security
- Click on Check for updates
- Wait for the updates to get installed
- Restart your PC
Do let us know if this fixed your issue. We will be adding more about the game soon. We’ve already written guides on obtaining the sniper rifle, solving the bell puzzle, merchants, armor upgrades and so on.
