Remnant: From The Ashes – Disable VOIP/Voice-Chat in-Game

Remnant: From The Ashes – Disable VOIP/Voice-Chat in-Game – Remnant: From The Ashes was released only a few hours back, the game has already garnered over 2300 very positive reviews. The developer Gunfire games pushed an updated almost 2 hours back which brought VOIP in the game. This was a requested feature but came with a lot of bugs, people are already facing lag related issues, issues with sound and so on. We’ve already written a guide on how to fix lag in the game.

We’ve already written guides on obtaining the sniper riflesolving the bell puzzlemerchantsarmor upgrades and so on.

This might get fixed through official updates later on, but we’ve found a workaround for the time being. Follow the steps given below.

How To Disable in-game Voice Chat in Remnant: From The Ashes

Step – 1: Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Remnant\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and open Engine.ini File

Step – 2:  Paste the following code at the bottom:

[Voice]
bEnabled=False[OnlineSubsystem]
bHasVoiceEnabled=False

Step -3: Now edit Game.ini File

[/Script/Engine.GameSession]

bRequiresPushToTalk=true

Step -4: Save the file.

Set it to read-only.

This will disable VOIP in-game. Unfortunately, there is no setting or way as of now to completely disable VOIP. People are furiously posting on reddit and steam community forums about this, and this should be noticed by the developer pretty soon.

If you have any problems doing this, comment below and we will help you out.
